Whenever musicians perform on the sun deck in summer, the whole area on the river takes on a festival character. Really "almost" like at the sea. And the mulled wine for a winter walk on the Saale is wonderfully warm.

Here you will find the best organic drinks, friendly staff and a great boss, who also cares about the staff.

Was there for lunch today. I and company were unfortunately not enthusiastic. Cheese and leek soup was very thin and mixed with a lot of minced meat (maybe the fat from the meat thinned the soup so much?). They were accompanied by salt potatoes. Were only edible without the shell. The bowl had very extensive salting. Cherry cake was also a little dry. Otherwise I always only had a drink on my visits. Of course everything was ok. Great location on the Saale + the outside area also invites you to linger. ## The star rating refers to today's food. ## Ambiente + charisma would be 4 stars

Only had one beer so I can't say that much. The drinks menu was very extensive.

You can always sit comfortably here and relax. The service staff are always ready, quick and attentive. We like to come here.

Were here on Thursday for breakfast (from 11:00 a.m.) and very satisfied! Very nice service, coffee was first in the deck chair right on the water, after about 15 minutes the meal was ready. Very diverse: Different types of cheese and cold cuts, eggs cooked / stirred / mirrored, fruit and delicious pestos. The cake here is always very good anyway. Definitely recommendable, thanks to the team ?? (Small hint: Unfortunately, no information found online (website, Facebook), whether you can have breakfast with you. Please feel free to leave a note. Terrible place, terrible service. Prices are very expensive, not worth at all!

Nice location, but very poor service. Very unprofessional staff. An unfriendly employee discussed it with me because I didn't have any cash with me - so no more than € 50. In her opinion, it was only my responsibility to check in advance whether you could pay without cash, and she referred to a clear sign that EC payment is not possible. Which, however, was maybe a 1 cm label in retrospect and only at the cash register and nowhere else. Because I had three euros too little, I had to leave my watch and go to withdraw money. Payment was rejected a day later. I was traveling with my two small children and, as I said, had already paid EUR 50. And honestly, in corona times no EC device in a restaurant ?!

We love the Sundeck. Great coffee and cold drinks & it is right beside a great gelato place. They have lawn chairs out by the river and a great atmosphere!

Great place to relax by the river, especially in the evenings! They have many drinks to choose from, from coffee to whiskey. They also sell light snacks, which are pretty tasty but quite expensive for what you get. All of the people who work here have been nothing short of great, and everyone I’ve met (so far) speaks English as well as German. If I could change one thing, I would love to have a wifi connection there!

First of all, the 2.9 stars are for the beautiful location directly on the water, the 3rd star makes the concept coherent. The service corresponds to "you always tried hard", but at least somehow friendly, but you have to plan a lot of time from ordering to receiving the food and especially the drinks. Overall grade is quite ok

The sundeck is for me a nice, relatively quiet place to relax. I like the small shore area with the Klappliegen very well (even if the summer of 2018 has damaged the meadow very much). Everything looks very clean and well maintained. The pricing I feel as appropriate. I want to come back.

The service is very bad. We asked them if they had breakfast and therefore reserved a table. But for breakfast there was almost nothing. We also asked for a "big glass of water" and they brought us water in a dash of glass. They also had focaccia on the menu, but do not know what it is. They brought a sandwich with everything. Overall, very bad place. Not recommend at all

Nice place to sit along the Saale river on a sunny day... And to drink a coffee or cocktail. They have outdoor sesting, but the best is to take a clapping chair and go neat the river - you'll need to self-service there, but still better if only for drink
